NaNoWriMo 2007
And so it begins again...

I've decided to do NaNoWriMo again this year after taking last year off. I was going back and forth about it until a few hours ago when the writing bug really hit me. So I sat down at my laptop and started punching keys and I've written more today than I have on any other day one in my NaNo history. I think I was really discouraged after my sophomore year, which is apparently the most difficult. I'm glad I'm back on the horse now. And I'm writing about something I actually care about.

I'm just using this word meter until the Zokutou one is up and running:


1761 / 50000 words. 4% done!

I like that my word meter meter shows that I've written half the words that I need to - that's awesome!

Do you know a lot of the Winnipeg nanos? I don't know anyone here and from the sounds of their events (the kickoff was in a food court), I don't know if I want to partipate with the Vancouverites. Which is a bit of a shame, since I really liked getting to know all of the Toronto nanoers.

The ML I remember from when I did my first nano here. They seem like a nice bunch. A much, much higher level of geekiness though :P

I think i will not be writing this year - this would be my seventh year (didn't finish in my sophomore year as well - bizarre)

however, I may still write a bit - will have to see.....

Even if you don't make it to 50K, it's always good practice to keep on writing!

I'm sure you're busy with the sale of your house (where are you guys moving to?) and all that that entails. It felt so weird not to write last year and that would've only been my third year, so I can imagine that missing out on your seventh would be a bit weird too.
